My first exposure to Terence Fletcher came in the form of a mashup with The Legend of Korra.
Thus, appreciation for Whiplash, when I finally did watch it, was toned down a bit because I kept laughing at Fletcher’s scenes.
It was a good movie though and J.K. Simmons deservedly won the 2014 Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for his very memorable performance.
Same Kung Fu Panda formula but done a little better than the previous ones.
A sensational Disney film that dares to top all other Disney films before it, it tackles the issue of discrimination with refreshing humor, wit, and just the right amount of sweetness that makes you think, “Where did all this maturity and comedy come from?”
It really was a surprising film, but definitely in a good way.
